Singapore signs tax treaty with Uzbekistan
15-Aug-2008The Singapore and Uzbekistan governments signed a tax treaty in Singapore on 24 July 2008. It brings the total number of tax treaties that Singapore has signed to 62.
The DTA has provisions to clarify the taxing rights of each country on all forms of income flows arising from cross-border business activities, and to eliminate double taxation and prevent fiscal evasion.
The tax treaty will enter into force when both countries have ratified it.
